The online interaction was excellent and demonstrated that more people came to know us and our work. That was fantastic and what we were hoping for.

Previously it was only 1-2 people/month but now there are 15 people who volunteer to be volunteers in a month. With this story, we hope we can use it to voice disability rights in Indonesia.

The events we participated in in Singapore in October 2023 provided us with a much-appreciated opportunity to interact and potentially collaborate with Singaporeans and other communities in our region.

Earlier it was 10-20 volunteers per month, now we're getting 5-6 volunteer emails per day! We have used the story to show to the world our work, the current state of affairs, and intended impact. The video has helped us reach like-minded people!
Aradhana Rai Gupta, Co-FounderProject Baala, India
We usually also get a lot of volunteers but after the story, we found the perfect employees for our organisation and some experienced volunteers too. We have this team working with us now.
Gitanjali Babbar, FounderKat-Katha, India
We've seen a surge in foot traffic to the cafe, jumping from 200 to 400 monthly visits. We also reached a whole new audience – followers are popping up from outside Indonesia, and many are asking about our Cafe Inklusi location.

“The OBW Storyteller Summit was a great place to make new acquaintances from various countries. I am excited at the possibilities and shared experiences that these new friendships could bring.
“The OBW Storyteller Summit made me realize that Singaporeans are truly inclusive, genuinely concerned and a full of heart. It’s rare to find people that are sincerely genuine in what they do, and really walk the talk.
“OBW’s women empowerment stories inspired me more because I now know that I am not alone. I feel inspired, and I feel like pursuing my plan of advocating for trauma-informed care.
“Learning from the real people in OBW stories who raise awareness and succeed motivates me to do the same. Whether by adopting their methods or adjusting them to fit our surroundings, their experiences inspire me.
“I think the OBW Storyteller Summit programme was diverse and thoughtfully put together. The participants of this programme share the same spirit of doing good, fostering greater understanding.
“OBW’s environment stories make me feel I can take a step to protect our environment. There’s a lot of garbage in our area. I’ll take the initiative to clean our surroundings and educate our people to make it clean.

Anthem Awards
Our story on Maria’s Kitchenhelped to raise awareness of Maria’s Kitchen and the creative way they are helping provide livelihood to local pandan weavers as well as the environment. The campaign also set out to drive traffic to their facebook page where people can message them to order breads, baskets or both.
The Anthem Awardscelebrates and champions work across seven core purposes. By amplifying the voices that spark global change, they define a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action in their communities.
