In 2001, Louis Ng founded ACRES, an animal welfare charity in Singapore dedicated to spreading awareness, education and also wildlife rescue. He serves as a Member of Parliament and is active in policy making, advocating tougher wildlife protection laws. In 2020, Louis led the way in amending the local Wildlife Act to make feeding and releasing of wildlife illegal in Singapore, to support the welfare of local wildlife.
